Pre-launch policy library. Product policies are published for review; the waitlist is governed by its waitlist terms and privacy notice.

In brief

Your information, your questions. Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion by email. We may need to confirm it’s really you; the rights and exceptions depend on where you live.

Send a request

Email support@oyamu.com with “Privacy request,” your account email and what you want to access, correct or delete. Include your country or state when relevant. You do not need a lawyer, a paid service or a special form.

Do not send passwords, payment credentials or full identity documents. Requests about records controlled by a school or organization may need to go to that organization.

Rights that may apply

Your rights can include knowing how information is used, obtaining a copy, correcting inaccuracies, requesting deletion or portability, and restricting or objecting to processing.

Depending on the applicable law, you may also withdraw consent, opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, limit certain sensitive-data uses, or challenge qualifying automated decisions. Legal exceptions may limit a request.

Verification and authorized representatives

Before disclosing or changing private account information, we may ask you to confirm your identity or authority. The information requested should be proportionate to the request and its risk.

A parent, guardian or authorized agent may need to show authority. A child’s information is not automatically available to every parent or purchaser. Verification requirements for access to private records differ from applicable advertising opt-outs.

Timing, fees and exceptions

Response periods depend on the law and the request. EU and UK requests generally have a one-month period; qualifying US state requests commonly use 45 days. Permitted extensions require notice and an explanation.

Requests are normally free. Fees, refusals and retention exceptions apply only where law permits. If a request cannot be completed, the response should explain the reason and available review route. Account closure does not immediately erase every tax record or backup.

Appeals and complaints

If you disagree with a response, email support@oyamu.com with “Privacy appeal,” your request reference and the reason for your appeal. Applicable appeal rights and deadlines still apply.

You can also contact your competent privacy regulator. UK residents can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office; EU and EEA residents can contact their supervisory authority. You do not have to give up a regulator complaint or another legal remedy to use our support process.

Regional protections

Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, rights include access, correction, deletion, applicable sale or sharing opt-outs, limits on certain sensitive-information uses, authorized-agent requests and non-discrimination.

Colorado and other US state laws may provide access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-outs and appeals, with additional protections for minors. EU, UK, Canadian and other local protections depend on your location and the processing involved. Oyamu’s terms do not remove mandatory local rights.
