In brief

Think of AI as a study partner whose work needs checking. It can get things wrong, so verify important answers and share only what a task needs. Prompts may go to a model provider, and some AI features have higher age limits.

What AI assistance is

AI tools can help explain concepts, organize work and suggest next steps. They generate responses from your request and the information supplied to them. They are not human tutors or exam administrators.

Responses can be wrong, incomplete or biased, and references can be invented. Check important answers against reliable learning materials and current exam requirements.

Information sent to a model

Using an AI feature can send your conversation, selected attachments and authorized tool context to its model provider. The information involved depends on the feature and permissions.

Send only material you have permission to process. Keep confidential exam questions, another provider’s restricted content, patient records, passwords and unnecessary personal information out of prompts.

Provider settings and training

Retention, abuse monitoring, training use and processing locations depend on the provider and account configuration. Do not assume that every AI service has zero retention or that all providers use the same terms.

See Service providers or contact support@oyamu.com for information relevant to the feature you use.

Tools and actions

AI features may use tools to retrieve or change information within your permissions. Review the scope, destination and consequences of an action before authorizing it. Generated instructions do not give you additional authority over someone else’s records.

A suggested action is not proof that it succeeded. Check the product’s confirmation and records. Do not use AI to evade access controls or disclose protected information.

Learning, assessment and professional boundaries

Follow your school’s and exam administrator’s rules. Do not use AI to cheat on a restricted assessment or misrepresent authorship. Practice feedback and readiness estimates are not official scores or guarantees of admission, qualification or improvement.

AI responses are not medical, legal, financial or safety-critical advice. Do not use them to decide another person’s health, employment, educational eligibility, credit or significant rights.

Young users

AI features can have higher age limits than Oyamu’s general 13+ minimum. You must satisfy the rules for the particular feature, provider and location. Parent permission does not override a provider’s age restrictions.

AI access for under-18s depends on an eligible provider and the required safeguards. Google’s Gemini API terms restrict applications directed toward or likely to be accessed by under-18s. Do not assume that a general Oyamu account makes every AI feature available to you.

AI is not a confidential counseling service. Speak with a trusted adult or qualified professional about a personal or safety concern, and use local emergency services in an emergency.

Credits, output and reporting

Review any paid AI offer for credit usage, validity and access requirements. The Refunds and access policy covers unused purchases and incorrect deductions.

You are responsible for reviewing output before using or sharing it. Output may not be unique and can be subject to other people’s rights. Report harmful responses, incorrect deductions or privacy concerns to support@oyamu.com with minimal, redacted context.
