Big study goals, a few ground rules. You need to be at least 13, and minors need a parent or guardian’s permission. Keep private details out of notes and prompts. Some features, including AI, have higher age limits.
Before you make an account
You must be at least 13 to use Oyamu. If you are under 18 or the legal age of adulthood where you live, ask a parent or guardian to read the Terms of service and agree to your use and any purchase.
Some places or features have higher age limits or extra consent requirements. Parent permission does not override those rules or make Oyamu available to children under 13.
What information belongs in your study account
Your account can hold your name, email, study choices and the work you save. Keep passwords, identity documents, private contact details and other people’s information out of notes and AI messages.
AI is software and can get things wrong. It is not a person who can keep a secret or look after you. Ask a trusted adult or qualified professional about a health, safety or other serious concern.
Your choices
You can browse without optional website analytics or chat. Open Cookie settings to change those choices. You can also ask about your information, correct it or request deletion.
Your privacy rights matter even when a parent helped create your account. If you are unsure what a choice means, ask a trusted adult or contact support@oyamu.com. Never share a password to get help.
For parents and guardians
Review the service, age requirements and purchase terms with your child. Permission to use Oyamu, permission for a purchase and consent for optional data use are separate choices.
A parent’s permission does not automatically authorize publication of a child’s image, testimonial or private study work. Organizational accounts may also have school-specific notices and agreements.
Using features safely
Use only features that are available for your age and location. AI tools may have stricter eligibility rules than the rest of Oyamu; see the AI use notice.
You do not need to enable optional website analytics or chat to browse. Share only what a study task needs, and ask for help if a feature requests information you do not understand.
Report an age or privacy concern
Email support@oyamu.com with “Young learner privacy” and enough information to identify the account or concern. Do not send a child’s identity document unless a secure process specifically requests it.
If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted adult.
Contact Oyamu
