Here’s the deal: use your own account, respect study materials and check what your package includes. Prep purchases don’t automatically renew. Your notes stay yours, and Oyamu helps you prepare without promising a particular score.
About these terms
These terms govern your use of Oyamu’s website, account services and available test-preparation features. The agreement is between you and Oyamu LLC. A parent or guardian acting for an eligible minor must have authority to do so. Institutional use requires a separate written agreement.
Your order identifies the product, price and access period. Agreed product-specific terms apply alongside these terms; mandatory law takes priority. The Privacy policy explains how information is handled and does not replace a separate consent choice where one is required.
Age and international availability
You must be at least 13 to use Oyamu. If you are under 18 or the legal age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to your use and purchases. Additional local age or consent requirements also apply. Do not create an account for a child under 13.
Availability depends on whether the service can lawfully be supplied in your location. Permission to use a product is separate from consent to optional processing of personal information. See Young learners and parents.
Accounts and account security
Provide accurate account information, keep your recovery email current and protect your credentials. Use your own account; do not sell, rent, share or transfer paid access. A parent purchasing for a child should use the designated purchasing or permission process rather than sharing a password.
Tell support@oyamu.com promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not send your password. You are responsible for activity you authorize and for taking reasonable precautions; these terms do not make you automatically responsible for every third-party security failure.
What your package includes
Review the included features, exam or subject coverage, price, taxes and access dates before purchasing. Complete Prep, Core Prep, QBank and Digital Textbooks may include different features. Your order defines the package you buy.
A paid package gives you access for the stated period. It does not transfer ownership of the platform or provide lifetime access. Pauses, extensions, resets, upgrades, third-party materials and additional AI credits are included only when specified.
Prices, payment and renewal
Check the total and currency before paying. Applicable taxes and required charges are shown with your order; your bank may charge separately for currency conversion. An order is confirmed when Oyamu accepts it and provides confirmation. An obvious pricing or availability error may require a corrected offer or cancellation and refund.
Prep packages are one-time purchases and do not automatically renew. An extension or additional purchase requires a new order. Using a free account does not by itself authorize a charge.
Payments are handled by the provider identified at checkout. Do not send payment-card details to support.
Refunds and AI credits
You can request a refund within seven calendar days of purchase for unused prep access. The Refunds and access policy explains eligibility, extensions and AI credits. Mandatory cancellation and defective-service rights take priority.
AI-credit offers specify how credits are used, their validity and any need for active prep access. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable. Used credits are excluded from the voluntary unused-purchase refund, except where a billing error, service failure or applicable law requires a remedy.
Referral and creator partnerships
Participation requires approval and agreement to the applicable partner offer. You may participate as a commission-only partner without choosing complimentary access. Commission-only participation has no minimum posting frequency; you choose when and how often to share, subject to these terms and any separate campaign you expressly accept.
Creator applications are expressions of interest. Before participation starts, Oyamu and the partner agree in writing on the commission rate, qualifying purchases, calculation basis, attribution window, validation and refund treatment, payout schedule, minimum payout and any higher-rate eligibility. Calculator examples are not offers or guaranteed earnings. Self-referrals, fraud and misleading claims are not permitted.
Complimentary creator access is optional and separate from commission-only participation. Your written campaign agreement identifies one eligible plan, included features and AI allowance, access dates, campaign duration, platforms, original-video count, posting frequency and delivery dates. Commitments vary with the access provided; there is no default daily or weekly quota. A proposed six-week campaign or a content-count example becomes binding only when expressly agreed before activation. Access covers the agreed campaign. Duplicate reposts do not count as additional original videos unless the agreement expressly permits them.
Complimentary creator access and any referral commission are separately described in the individual agreement. Access does not establish a commission rate or entitlement to payment; earned commissions remain governed by the agreed terms.
Creators must describe their genuine experience and clearly disclose complimentary access, affiliate commissions and other material benefits wherever they promote Oyamu. Compensation or continued access must not depend on a positive review, suppression of honest criticism or an undisclosed endorsement. Do not promise scores, admissions or results that cannot be substantiated. Permission to demonstrate Oyamu does not authorize distribution of protected question banks, answer keys or other paid materials.
Complimentary access is personal and non-transferable. Additional AI-credit purchases, cash alternatives, automatic extensions and automatic paid conversion are not included. If you cannot meet an agreed schedule, contact Oyamu to discuss a change. Subject to the agreement and applicable law, Oyamu may decline an extension or end complimentary access for an unresolved material failure to deliver after reasonable notice and an opportunity to address it; honest criticism alone is not a failure to deliver. This does not create a retroactive purchase charge or remove valid commissions already earned.
Creators retain ownership of their original content. Any permission for Oyamu to repost content, use it in paid advertising, edit it or use a creator’s name or likeness must be agreed separately in writing. Institutional partners must obtain any required authorization; an individual commission arrangement must not be presented as school approval.
Permission to use Oyamu content
Subject to these terms and the agreed access period, Oyamu grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the included materials for your own study. Oyamu and its licensors retain their intellectual-property rights. Downloads or printing are permitted only where the feature or applicable law allows them.
Do not redistribute paid questions, explanations, textbooks, illustrations or answer keys; sell access; publish substantial portions of the materials; or use them to train or develop a competing model or content service without permission. These restrictions do not remove exceptions, interoperability rights or other uses that applicable law makes non-waivable.
Your materials and feedback
You keep your rights in notes, uploads, prompts and other materials you provide. You grant Oyamu only the rights reasonably necessary to host, process, transmit and display them to supply the features you request, maintain security and follow lawful instructions. Sharing something privately with Oyamu does not give permission to publish it in advertising or use your identity as an endorsement.
Upload only material you have permission to use, including permission for the processing the feature performs. Do not upload leaked exam content, another person’s private information or protected clinical records. You are responsible for the legality of your submissions. Feedback about the service may be used to improve it without an obligation to implement a suggestion or pay compensation; confidential information and personal information remain subject to their protections.
Study results, AI and educational limits
Oyamu provides study tools. Practice scores, readiness indicators and AI responses are not official exam scores or guarantees of a score increase, admission, qualification, licensure or employment. Preparation needs and results differ. Rely on the exam administrator for the current syllabus, rules, accommodations, registration and official results.
AI can make mistakes, invent references or produce incomplete explanations. Verify important answers against reliable sources and use your own judgment. The AI use notice applies to enabled AI features. Educational medical, scientific, legal or financial examples are not professional advice and must not be used to diagnose, treat or make consequential decisions about a person.
Acceptable use and third parties
Follow the Acceptable use policy. In particular, do not use Oyamu for cheating on a live assessment, impersonation, infringement, unauthorized collection of data, harmful attacks or circumvention of paid access. Report suspected errors or misuse through support.
External links, integrations and independently supplied decks or resources are subject to their own terms. A link or comparison does not imply endorsement, affiliation or permission to reuse a third party’s material. Oyamu remains responsible for obligations that law or its own agreement assigns to it; referring to a provider does not transfer all responsibility to you.
Changes, outages and support
We may maintain, correct or improve Oyamu. Interruptions can occur, and no specific uptime or support response time is guaranteed unless agreed in writing. If a material change removes paid functionality during your access period, remedies required by law remain available.
Buy based on the features included in your order. Keep a separate copy of your own materials where a lawful download or export is available.
Suspension, termination and account closure
Oyamu may restrict access proportionately when reasonably necessary to address a security threat, unlawful activity, serious misuse or an unresolved payment issue. Where feasible, Oyamu will explain the reason and allow correction or review. Immediate restriction may be necessary to protect others, preserve evidence or comply with law.
You may stop using the service and request account closure through account controls or support@oyamu.com. Account deletion, cancellation of an order and a refund request are separate actions. Termination does not erase statutory refund rights or justify keeping payment for service Oyamu is legally required to refund. The Privacy policy explains retention and deletion exceptions. Intellectual-property, payment, privacy, dispute and other provisions intended to survive remain applicable to the extent lawful.
Warranties and limitations
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and except for express commitments in your order, Oyamu is provided on an “as available” basis without additional implied warranties. Oyamu does not warrant that all content or AI output is error-free, that every interruption can be prevented or that using the service will produce a particular result.
This language does not exclude statutory guarantees of acceptable quality, fitness, conformity, reasonable care or other protections that cannot be waived. It does not excuse a misleading description, an express promise, fraud or conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be limited.
Limits on liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Foreseeable consumer losses and legally required refunds remain subject to applicable law.
For claims that may lawfully be capped, Oyamu’s aggregate liability is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid for the affected service in the twelve months before the event. This does not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, protected personal injury, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, or other liability the law prohibits limiting. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights prevail.
Responsibility for unlawful submissions
You are responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for losses directly caused by intentional unlawful use or knowing infringement of another person’s rights. Any reimbursement must be legally justified and proportionate. You are not required to cover Oyamu’s own negligence, unlawful conduct or independent acts of its providers.
Resolving a concern
Contact support@oyamu.com with the issue and the outcome you seek. This does not prevent you from contacting a regulator, seeking urgent relief or exercising a right within a legal deadline.
Colorado law governs where that choice is lawful. It does not remove mandatory protections or protected access to courts in your home country or state. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or waive protected class-action, jury-trial or statutory limitation rights.
Updates and other terms
Material changes will be communicated with appropriate advance notice and additional agreement where required. Changes do not retroactively alter an existing claim or strip agreed paid access without a lawful basis and remedy. Posting an updated page alone is not treated as permission for a materially different use of personal information.
If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective only to the extent legally permitted. Failure to enforce a provision once is not a permanent waiver. Neither assignment nor a business transfer can remove mandatory rights. These terms do not restrict honest reviews, regulatory reports, lawful criticism or other protected speech.
